February 10, 1953 to December 12, 2016

On a peaceful, snowy morning with her daughters and sister by her side, our Mom took her final breath after a long and valiant battle with cancer. Although she struggled until the end, she was brave and fought harder than anyone could ever imagine to maintain her independence and dignity. Norma leaves behind to mourn and miss her daughters Tracy Garneau (Ron) and Marcy Jaster (Doug); grandchildren Megan, Riley, Lisa, Johnny, Caleb, Caileigh, Noah and Devon as well as her great-grandson Parker, and her sisters Trudy Benner (Ken), Laurie Oster (Joe) and Robin DiMicco (Larry). Norma’s girls, their spouses, grandchildren, and great-grandchild mattered more to her than anything and she would go out of her way to ensure they all knew they were loved. Norma also leaves behind many long-time friends, as well as her co-workers from Bailey Western Star, and her beloved pooches who will all miss her dearly. A Celebration of Life will be held in the upcoming new year.

A big thank you to Trish and everyone at the Campbell River Hospice, Dr. Arnold and the staff at Hillside Medical, Dr. Prinsloo and his team, the nurses and staff at Campbell River Hospital, and Hospice at the Views for their care and compassion during her difficult transition.

We love you Mom….no one can ever replace you.

Until we meet again….
