Jack was truly dedicated to his work and proud of his accomplishments and the enduring friendships made in his lengthy career.

To all who knew him, he was and enthusiastic and passionate about bicycling, motorcycling, religion, and music. Be it drumming or keyboard, he was an active musician on the island and at occasional jazz festivals in the US. In recent years, he entertained the residents at the Evergreen Retirement Home and sang in the United Church Choir, greatly enjoying 'stirring the pot' with the Church's Tuesday Coffee and Conversation group. He was very engaged in the Masonic Lodge and was honored to spend a year as their 'Grand Organist.' He accompanied many a meeting with his thoughtful keyboard playing up and down Vancouver Island.

A celebration of Jack's life is scheduled for 2pm, August 26th, at the Campbell River United Church, with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Church or to the Campbell River Hospital. The family would like to thank his physician, Dr. Mike Meckin, Home Care South Team, and the hospital nursing staff on 3N along with his many wonderful friends and neighbours.
