August 10, 1950 - April 22, 2017
Maryanne was born in Christchurch, New Zealand on the 10th of August. She was the oldest of six children. Her family moved to Timaru in 1954 and this is where she grew up and eventually met her husband, Lawrence. In 1972, they were married and later immigrated to Canada in 1974. They settled in Uranium City, Saskatchewan and had their three children Rachel, Lisa and Dean. They lived in Fort McMurray until they retired in Campbell River. Maryanne loved to visit her five grandchildren in Alberta and was so proud of her family.
She was predeceased by John O’Brien (father) and Ginny O’Brien (sister). She is survived by Barbara O’Brien (mother), Lawrence McErlane (husband), Sue Prendergast (sister), Jane Brown (sister), Peter O’Brien (brother), Paul O’Brien (brother), Rachel Gibb (daughter), Lisa Siegfried (daughter), Dean McErlane (son).
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 28th at 1:00pm at Sutton’s Campbell River Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA would be appreciated. Thank you all for your love, support and comfort during this difficult time.
