Mary Petronille

Fauchon (GG)

March 07, 1922 - August 30, 2010

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and auntie, Mary Fauchon (Clemens) in her 88th year following an aggressive throat cancer.

As the Lord called Mary home her family was by her side holding her hand and ensuring she was comfortable. In her passing Mary is reunited with her dearly beloved husband Eddie (2002), brother Jack (1975), sister Kay (2007), grandson Michael (1981), niece Diane (1987), Nephews, Allan Fauchon (2007) and Charlie Clemens (2010),and her mother and father Henry and Louise Clemens.

Mary's love lives on in the hearts of her children, Don (Sharon), Elaine Hunter (Bruce), Ken (Joyce), Larry (Diane), Joe (Audrey), her grandchildren, Tammy (Mike), Dean (Annemarie), Darren (Nikki), Laura, Sheila (Jason), Christopher (Lyndie), Krista (Brett), Korey (Katherine), Chase (Heather), Josh, Clay, Kaitlyn aswell as her great grandchildren, Larissa, Ryan, Hayley, Chloe, Kale, Vanessa, Noah, Lee, Anabelle and her nieces and nephews.

Mary was an active member of the Catholic Women's League since 1947. She will be remembered for her warmth, unconditional love, giving spirit and of course her endless supply of delicious baked goods. Her family's hearts are filled with many fond memories of Mary such as when she first laid eyes on their father, her short golfing career that resulted in a hole in one, her fresh baked bread and homemade blackberry jam, and how she loved participating in the numerous fishing expeditions that the family went on over the years while exploring the coastal islands. Mary had a wonderful love of family, children, community and never took her life for granted. She marvelled in the simple things such as her flower garden and often sat admiring her feathered flying friends. There was always a warm hug, kiss on the cheek and hot tea with cookies waiting for anyone who came to visit. She was gracious to the end . She was a precious gift to all of us.

We would like to thank Campbell River Home Support and the Campbell River Hospital staff for their support and a very special thank you to Julie Ledward (Jewels) for her devotion in providing loving care and companionship to our mother. We also want to thank Mike Beston for watching over mom in her home as well as Shirley and Bob Koch and all the other parishioners for supporting mom's relationship with God by escorting mom to church services and social events.

Please join us in celebrating our mother, Mary, the loving and gracious woman that she was. There will be a Funeral Mass at St Patrick's Parish Church (34 South Alder Street) on Wednesday September 08, 2010 at 11:00am with a reception to follow.
