Marie Grant
Marie Ernestine Grant was born in Biggar, Saskatchewan on July 19, 1928. She passed away on Monday, September 20, 2010, at the age of 82 years.
Marie was an inspiration to each person whose life she touched and will be remembered for her big welcoming smile, her warm hugs, and her unending quest for knowledge, which included daily episodes of Jeopardy with Alex Trebek.
Left to cherish Marie’s memory are her children: Roy (Rosa) of Campbell River, B.C., Keith of Edmonton, AB., Gordon (Pauline) of Surrey, B.C., Sally (Tim) of Edmonton, AB., Janet (Mike) of Clearwater, B.C., Doug (Deanie) of Sidney, B.C., and Joe (Lori) of Clearwater, B.C.; 15 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Marie is also survived by her sister Elaine (Lorne) Alton, brother William Cote, and sister Janet Cote.
Marie was predeceased by her father Rosaire Cote, her mother Rose and stepfather Chester Tetreau, her son David, and granddaughter Jessica.
A grave side service was held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 24, 2010, at the St. Albert Catholic Church Cemetery, a luncheon followed.
