Margaret Brown

Margaret Brown passed away on February 19, 2010 after a short struggle with leukemia.

Margaret was born in Alert Bay, BC on April 16, 1928 and resided in the Echo Bay area until 1964 when she and her family moved to Campbell River.


Margaret worked at the Marina Hotel for several years before operating the "Chicken Out" in Willow Point. After she sold the Chicken Out she then went to work at the Anchor Inn until retirement. Margaret enjoyed going to the casinos and travelling with Bud. Together they went on several cruises as well as trips to Hawaii, England, Bermuda, across Canada and to much of the United States.


Margaret was predeceased by her husband of 60 years (Wesley (Bud)), her brother, John Roth, and her sister, Yvonne Proctor. She is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Christensen and Lorraine (Don) Forberg, her grandchildren, Dwayne (Arlana) Christensen, Dean Christensen. Tammy (Barry Bowden) Forberg and Barb Forberg. Also surviving her are her six great grandchildren, Alyssa, Lexy, Kennedy, Dylan, Brooke and Kayla as well as several nieces and nephews.


The service will be held at Suttons Funeral Home 502 South Dogwood Street Campbell River on March 20, 2010 at 12:30 pm. Conducting the service will be the people of "Coastal Missions".
