It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Lorna. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer McPhee (Scott), granddaughters Ali and Jaci, her brother Bob Hall (Sharon) and many friends and relatives. Born in Vancouver and growing up in North Vancouver, Lorna had a passion for music and singing and pursued this as a career in her earlier years. On moving to Campbell River to be near her family, Lorna became very active in volunteer work around Campbell River with service to organizations including the Hospital Auxiliary, Shoreline Arts, SPCA, Tidemark Theatre, Restore (Habitat for Humanity) and Rivercity Players, receiving several acknowledgements for her efforts. Nothing, however, gave Lorna greater pleasure than the times spent with her grandchildren. She had been afflicted with M.S. early in life and this progressive disease in the end left her unable to walk or manage on her own. Lorna’s love of her family and friends, her passion for helping others, and her love of animals will be sorely missed.

Sincere thanks to Home and Community Care, the many Home Support workers who helped Lorna to stay home as long as possible and the amazing staff of 2 North and the ER at the Campbell River Hospital for their kindness and excellent care.

A service for Lorna will be held at the Maritime Heritage Museum on Monday, November 7th at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, Lorna’s wish was for donations to be made to the MS Society.
