Loretta ( Lori)

May Friesen

Oct 11, 1953 -

May 8, 2010

It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Lori Friesen at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria. She had fought a long courageous battle against several illnesses with a tremendous will to live and endured what many of us could not.

She is loved and greatly missed by her daughter Elissa (Elly) Edwards, stepdaughter Melanie with grandchildren Nick, Josh and Travis, stepson Tom, mother Elsie, father Dave, sisters Val and Sandra, brothers Brian and Wayne, friends Matt, Kevin, Krystal, Carla and as well as all of her extended family and other friends too numerous to mention.

Lori was born in Arvida, Quebec and moved to Cold Lake Alberta 3 years later. Her family then moved to Comox in 1962 where they still reside. Lori moved to Campbell River in the mid 1980's and had her daughter (Elly) in November of 1990. This month marks the 20th anniversary of Lori living in the same house. She worked in various pubs and resorts as well as the Marina Inn for 14 years. Ever since she was young she had a big love for sports and loved to garden.

Lori had a heart of gold and cared for everybody. She loved all animals and has passed that trait down to her daughter.

Her daughter Elissa ( ELLY ) will be having an open house celebration of life for family and friends at 2 pm. on Saturday May the 22nd 2010 at their home at 574 Island Highway, Campbell River.

If you wish, in lieu of flowers, a donation to the Cancer Society, SPCA, or the Transplant Society of B.C. would be greatly appreciated.
