Born in Nanaimo, WWII vet, served on HMCS BLAIRMORE minesweeper on D DAY, 1944, in the English Channel. Lloyd and his wife, Betty, developed the Ocean Grove Store from a one room schoolhouse. They operated the store for a number of years before selling it and building their house nearby. Lloyd loved flying and was proud to fly the first plane to land at the new Campbell River Airport's opening ceremony, 50 years ago.
Lloyd will be sadly missed by his wife, Betty; sister, Estelle; son, Barry (Kerry); daughter, Linda (Terry); grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews. A big thank you to the super staff at 3 NORTH at the Campbell River hospital and Dr. Phil NcNeil.
