With quiet dignity, Lee passes away in Yucalta Lodge, Campbell River with her family by her side. She is lovingly remembered for her selflessness, strength and humour by her daughter and best friend, Cathy, son-in-law, Trent McCartney, and granddaughter, Caitlyn. She was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband, Leslie, and son, Craig, and her four older brothers and sisters.
Lee was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion L.A. and served actively in roles including provincial president and secretary. Her dedicated contibutions to the quality of life for the veterans of George Derby Hospital were recognized upon her retirement in 1980. Since her retirement, Lee lived in Bowser, Qualicum Beach, Nanaimo and Campbell River. Playing cards, darts and bingo, socializing with friends, plus spending quality time with her family were her greatest pleasures. She will be truly missed.

Words cannot express how her family appreciates the loving and dedicated care given to Mom by the staff at Yucalta’s Homestead Cottage. We were blessed to have you embrace us as part of your “family.” Thank you for your many acts of kindness.
