JULY 16TH 1956 – SEPT. 21ST 2009


It is with great sadness that the family of Kim Schaefer announces that he passed away suddenly but peacefully at the age of 53 years in Campbell River. Kim will be forever loved and dearly missed by his loving wife Daisy, his daughter Karen Haase and son-in law Gerald Haase, his son Rick Savage and daughter in law Jeanette Savage his grandchildren Bradley Leblanc, Gordie Montaque, Orlena Mollins, Carson Savage, Shawna Wale and Carly Savage all of whom he dearly loved. He will always be missed by his great grand-children Kamryn Mollins, Jason Mollins, Lenaya Mollins and Jayden Wale.

Kim will be forever loved and remembered by his Mother Edna Schaefer and his Siblings Clifford Schaefer, Alan Schaefer, Gerald Schaefer, Debby Kruega, Nadine Newirith, Daphne Campbell.

The loss of Kim is felt profoundly by the Henderson and Malone families. Kim had been adopted by the Henderson family of the Campbell River Band.

Kim was pre-deceased by his Father John Schaefer (1975), Sister Sharon Reeve (2001), Sister Janet Lee Schaefer (1952) and his Daughter Sharon Montaque (1987).

Kim will be sadly missed but not forgotten by all is co-workers especially his very special co-workers Dave Atkinson and Chris Jochimski.

Born in Kamsack, Saskatchewan, Kim spent his childhood in Port Alberni, BC and worked in construction since he was 12 years old. The family moved to Campbell River in 1991 he worked at Wacor as a Manager and Estimator since

that time.

A Memorial Service to Celebrate the Life of Kim will be held at the Thunderbird Hall, Downtown Campbell River on the Campbell River Band Reserve on Monday the 28th September 2009 at 1.00pm.
