Peacefully on January 9, 2008, Mildred Joyce Elliott, age 91, at Halliday House, Parksville.Predeceased by her husband, Norman Elliott, grandson Edward MacKenzie Elliott, and sister Rhoda Symmes. Daughter of Kenneth
G. and May MacKenzie. Former member of IODE and Queens Avenue United Church; active in Meals on Wheels for many years. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, who will be missed by her son, Gordon (Lois) of Nanoose Bay, her daughter Kathryn (Brian Carr) of Ottawa, her grandchildren, Pamela Elliott (Scott Young), Michael Carr and Sarah Carr, and former daughter-in-law Judy Elliott (Reed Fraser). A private family remembrance service will be held later. In lieu of flowers, donations to the CNIB or organization for research into macular degeneration, or the Arthritis Society would be appreciated.
