It is with great sadness that the family of John Lawrence Larmand announce his sudden and tragic passing. John died as a result of a logging accident.
John leaves behind to mourn, the love of his life Shona, his loving Wife. John also leaves behind to mourn, his beautiful Daughter Katie and his two sons Monty (Leigh Ann) and Duane (Holly). John also leaves behind his Parents Therese and Leo Larmand, his Brothers Roger (Fran), Bert (Cathy), Daniel (Wendy), and Sisters Louise (Robin), Carol (Greg), Diane (Bruce) and Marie (Rob).
John also leaves behind his eleven Grandchildren, numerous Nieces and Nephews and many, many close Friends.
John will be forever remembered for his zest for life, his many hobbies, fishing, woodworking, boat building (The Aggie Gaye) the grunt work around his home and his passion for falling.
John was a very kind and loving man to his large Family. He never refused anyone his help: he will be forever loved and truly missed by all who knew him.
A Visitation and Viewing will be held in Sutton’s Funeral Chapel, 502 South Dogwood Street, Campbell River, BC, on Friday evening, May 29th 2009 from 7.00pm – 9.00pm.
For those unable to attend this Visitation an opportunity for a viewing will be held on Saturday May 30th 2009 between 12.00noon – 12.30pm at the Sportsplex, 1800 South Alder Street, Campbell River, BC.
A Celebration of John’s Life with the closed casket present, will follow the Visitation at 1.00pm with Pastor Randy Evans officiating.
There will be a Tea and Fellowship following the Service also at the Sportsplex. Flowers are gratefully accepted or Donations in Memory of John may be made to the Canadian Foundation for the Children of Haiti, 11400 Seafield Crescent, Richmond, BC, V7A 3J2. Cremation entrusted to Mission Hill Crematorium Memorial tributes for the family may be left at www.MeM.com.
John was the love of Shona’s life and this will remain forever.
