John Herbert
John Herbert, a resident of the Evergreen Senior's Home, passed away at Campbell River & District Hospital on Wednesday, May 14, 2008, aged 88. Predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Eileen he is survived by his loving family; sons Lawrence (Doreen), Wayne (Darlene), Michael (Linda), Graham (Barbara);Daughters Jill (Gary) and Colleen, 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and his brother Harry (Sylvia). John moved to Campbell River in 1953. where his family still remains. He was a trucker with many companies throughout his career, and spent the 20 years prior to his retirement driving at Kelsey Bay. In his leisure, John enjoyed fishing, camping and wine making. His family wishes to thank the staff at Evergreen Senior's Home and Dr. Coetzee for their excellent care and kindness. Private arrangements entrusted to Island Funeral Services, Elk Falls Cremation and Reception Centre.
