RAWLINS, Jessie Constance
December 12, 1925 - October 29, 2009
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Jessie Rawlins at Campbell River at the age of 83 years. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Pete in 2004.
Jessie was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan. While visiting Parksville, she met Pete. They were married in Regina in 1948 and shortly after, moved back to Vancouver Island.
Jessie enjoyed raising her family. Her hobbies were bowling, holly picking and enjoying their favorite pastime, camping. After Pete's retirement, they traveled across Canada in their RV. Later they extensively explored BC and Alberta provincial and national parks. When they returned to their Parksville home, Jessie enjoyed gardening, walks with Pete, and her favorite TV shows, Hockey Night in Canada, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!
Jessie will be dearly missed by son, Bill, daughter, Connie (Cliff), grandchildren; Kelly, Lia (Craig), Graham, Lauren, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Klein and all the staff at Yucalta Lodge for all their care and compassion shown to Jessie.
There will be no service at Jessie's request. In lieu of ?owers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
