On Saturday, March 11, 2006, James Austin passed away in St. Josephs Hospital, Comox, at the age of 57.
He is survived by Catherine (common spouse), 2 brothers Mervyn (Louise), Vernon (Judy), sister-in-law Delores, nephews Darrel (Jacky) and Robert, Danny, Kevin, Bradley, and Dean, nieces Bonny/Juliet, Mandy (Stacey), Debbie, great nieces Jessica, Jennifer, Olivia, great nephews Zachary, and Branden, and first wife Linda.
He was predeceased by his parents Emily and Millard, brother Ronald, and nephew Kelly.
Jim was a long time manager of a major department store chain and an avid fisherman. At the time of his death he was a resident of Comox, B.C. had had major surgeries and was hospitalized for a considerable length of time in his battle with cancer. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 17th at 1:00 p.m. from Elk Falls Memorial Chapel, Elk Falls Cemetery, General Hill, Campbell River. ISLAND FUNERAL SERVICES/ELK FALLS CREMATORIUM, entrusted with arrangements.
