Heinz Deiter (Dick)

Fritz

Nov 4, 1942 - April 23, 2005

Heinz passed away peacefully with dignity and grace at home with his loving wife, Lynda, of 18 years by his side, after a short, but extremely brave battle with cancer.

He leaves behind to mourn his death, his daughter Crystal Scholz of Abbotsford, son Ernst Scholz (Sarah) of Colorado, stepdaughters Tracy Wagner (Brent Petersen), Chris Boulier, and step son Larry (Sarah) Kirk, his mother Christine Scholz of Germany, his brothers Gerd (Mary) Scholz of Calgary, Ernie (Annegret) Scholz of Germany, sisters Tina (Everett Kaunitz) of Sweden and Annelee (Gerd Markus) of Germany, brother-in-laws Richard Intrieri (Bev) of Delta, Aldo Intrieri (Ervin) of Surrey and all of their families.

Heinz came to Canada on his 19th birthday from Germany. He started work for Westmin Resources (Boliden) in March of 1971 as a miner but later moved above ground to become a bit grinder. He was known for making the best cup of coffee of anywhere on the site. He officially retired in March of 2004. Heinz was an avid t.v. soccer fan that never missed a World Cup Series. We will remember him as an awesome cook that took pride in creating fabulous sauces and perfect turkey dinners, never forgetting his red suspenders that he wore Christmas mornings while preparing crepes for the entire family.

A service will be held at 3pm on Friday, April 29th, at the Bethany Lutheran Church, 201 Birch Street, Campbell River. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to the charity of your choice.
