It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Heather Troche. Heather was born at Vancouver General Hospital. She spent her first 2 years living in a logging camp north of Campbell River, then lived in Mission. When she was 7, the family returned to Campbell River, where Heather graduated from Carihi in 1957. She then moved to Metro Vancouver where she remained for the rest of her life.

Heather was predeceased by her loving husband, Mike, in 2004. She also leaves behind her loving family; daughter Sandra Troche, son Ronald Troche (wife Sandra), and grandchildren, Isabella and Alexander Troche. She is also survived by her sister Maureen Blaine-White, 2 nephews, Andrew and Tom Blaine and her aunt, Florence Annette.

Heather loved the printed word and was the ‘wordsmith’ of the family. She was an avid reader and crossword puzzle enthusiast throughout her life.

Heather worked both at home as professional typist of doctoral theses, while raising the children, and then as a skilled professional secretary for a dozen years at UBC in the History Department.

A Celebration of Life for Heather will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016. The Service begins at 11:00 a.m. at the Firefighters Banquet and Conference Centre, 6515 Bonsor Street, Burnaby, B.C.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff at Queens Park Care Center for Heather’s care while in residence.

Heather was cremated, as was her husband, Mike. They have now been reunited in spirit as per their plan with each other. Their ashes will be interred together at a later date. God bless their united souls.
