June 2, 1929 – October 23, 2009


Passed away peacefully in Campbell River Hospital.

Predeceased by both parents, two sisters, two brothers, son in law Graham.

He will be loving remembered and missed by his family. Wife Mary, children: Susanne (Lloyd); Janet (Marvin); Linda (Glen); Bob (Heather); Mike (Andrea); grandchildren: Jim, Katie, Kathie (Aaron), Cameron, Brad Melissa (Brandon), Jessica, Jennine, Jocelyn, Jennifer (Chris), Baylea, Trevor, great-grandchildren: Emily, Graham, Kaleb; brother Don (Sharon); and numerous nephews and nieces.

Harry served in the R.C.A.F. and later began his own trucking (gravel) company, long hauling, and finally log truck hauling. Harry was a Legion member for 40 years, as well as a member of the local power squadron. His interests included boating, fishing, camping, golfing and family time.

A special thanks to the dedicated care givers: Robert, Darlene, Bob and Trish.

The family greatly appreciated the excellent care and compassion Harry received in the Campbell River Hospital including Dr. Seldon and ER staff, 3rd floor South nurses, Dr. Penhall and Dr. Veerapen.

A private family memorial was held. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of BC.
