Gloria went home suddenly and peacefully, on January 12, 2007.

Gloria was born to Benjamin and Naida Brotchie in Alert Bay BC.

Gloria was pre-deceased by her mother and father, and her four sons, Alfred, Reggie, Norman, and Alan.

Gloria is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Alfred (Hutch); by brother Norman, and sister Hilda; by daughters Christine (Alan Moberg) of Salt Spring, and Corrine of Vancouver, and son Tom (Port Hardy); by grandchildren Kathy,

Dallas, Terena, Leslie (Chris Cochrane), and Marc; by great-grandchildren Alan, Amanda, Shaelynne, Jaden, Cate, and Lily; by her Aunt Mildred Hunt, and Uncle Norman Price. Also mourning their loss are special daughters Luce and Barbara, and their children Ruby and Flora, as well as the many people whose hearts she touched, and whom she adopted into the family. Gloria was a community leader, and was president of the Nimpkish Community Club for many years. Gloria had a gentle and loving spirit, which drew people to her. Her religion was kindness. A Memorial service will be held at the Squamish Nation Chief Joe Mathias Centre, 100 Capilano Rd, North, West Vancouver, BC, Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. Another service will be held at the Ugwamalis Hall in Fort Rupert on Saturday, January 20, 2007, at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
