February 18, 1935 - August 16, 2016
It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of Gilbert LeBlanc on August 16, 2016 at Yucalta Lodge after a valiant and lengthy battle with Alzheimers.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years; Yvette, daughters Selina Daur, Jennifer Burke, sons; Vincent, Martin, sister; Jean, brothers; Francois, William, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Born in Montreal to Jennie (Orr) and Louis LeBlanc was the eighth of nine children. Gilbert moved out west in 1974. He was a Draftsman, Welding Inspector and an Industrial Contractor. He built two log homes in the Okanagan where he and his wife spent twenty memorable years. Gil loved skiing, hiking, dancing and listening to jazz. He enjoyed the outdoors and family get-togethers and was a happy and outgoing man.
