Kiviniemi,
Ernest Peter
November 29, 1941 -
June 8, 2006
Ernie was born in Vancouver, BC and spent his early years growing up in the Ladysmith/Nanaimo area, where he attended school and began an apprenticeship with Nanaimo Printers. He married Hilary in 1963 and made their home in Campbell River. They had four daughters together and each one was very special to him. Ernie enjoyed working in both the logging and commercial fishing industries, travelling extensively along the BC Coast. He was an avid sports fan, active in both basketball and fastball in the community in his younger years. In 1982 Ernie married a second time to Dianne, who remained a special friend of both Ernie and his girls. After several years in Vancouver, Ernie eventually retired back in Campbell River in 2004 to reconnect with family and friends. Ernie will forever be remembered by his sister Karen, his daughters Jonelle (Darrell), Maralyn (Mike), Coral (Stace), Laurene, and seven grandchildren. His many friends and relatives will miss his sense of humour and his free spirit.
A Celebration of Ernie’s Life will take place on Sunday July 2, 2006
in the Grand Salmon Room at the
Campbell River Lodge
at 2:00 pm.
