It is with great sadness to her loving family and friends that Dorothy passed away on Saturday June 3, 2017 at the age of 94.
Dorothy is survived by her son Bob Kozakowski (Chris), daughter Barbara Berry (Mike Beaupre); grandchildren Robert (Brandi) and David (Annette) Kozakowski, Paula and Ross Berry, and great-granddaughters Abi and Everleigh. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Roman, son Paul and sisters Catherine and Audrey.
Born and raised in England, Dorothy, Roman and their young sons moved to Canada in 1957. They settled in Richmond where Barbara was added to the family. Following her move to Campbell River in 2001 Dorothy made many friends in her new home in Silverseas, the Seniors Center and her final home at Berwick by the Sea.
Dorothy served in the ATS (Auxillary Territorial Service) in England during World War II. After raising her family she worked as a payroll clerk until well past retirement age.
Bright, fiercly indepentant and determined to the end Dorothy lived to see photos of her grand-daughters graduation with her Masters Degree in Performance Voice - Opera. Her final hours were spent surrounded by family and listening to Paula singing.
