Donna McInnes

March 24 1953-September 19, 2016

Donna passed away unexpectantly and suddenly.She is predeceased by her parents Ellen (1995) and Bob (2007), her sister Carol Jean (1963), her beloved nephew Mike (2011), her great grandson baby Ryan and her little buddy Oscar the puggy.

She will be sadly missed by her best friend and husband of 37 years, Dave Cornish, his son James and grandson Landon. Donna’s whole life centered around her only daughter Carrie-Lynn (Dean), her grandson Cody (Katelyn) and her only great-grandson little Noah. She will also be deeply missed by her brothers Bruce, Roddy (Corky), and Roger McInnes. Her very special niece Karla (Mike) and nephew Robby (Michelle); nieces and nephews Kris, Shane, Dylan, Aaron, Tamara, Scott and Halo. Sister-in-law Kris McInnes and Brenda McInnes. Aunt Barb McInnes and her family. Her close friends Sharon (Anthony) Morasky, Carmine Hill, Monica Oakford, and many other family and friends.

Donna was born in Campbell River, BC. She was raised in C.R. and various logging camps on the coast such as Camp 5 and Owen Bay. She is one of the original Painter/Barclay kids and never forgot her roots or the people she grew up with. Donna spent most of her life being a caretaker to her family and many others she was extremely devoted to Dave and loved him and her family very much. Her door was always open and you could talk to Donna about anything, she took everybody under her wing and had a way of making you feel like family even if you weren’t. She was known as Nan or Aunty Donna by many generations. She will be extremely missed, she was the heart and soul of her family and the world is a darker place without her. The family would like to thank the paramedics, the emergency team at Campbell River hospital and the ICU team at St.Paul’s.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Donna at 1:00pm on Sunday, October 2nd at the Eagles Hall 1999 14th Ave, Campbell River BC.
