Ted was a man of many accomplishments.

He was born in Fort Williams, ON on 11 September 1926, but he grew up mainly in Bozeman, Manitoba. He joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1946 and was sent to Churchill, MB. He served in various trades from driver to dental clerk, both domestically and abroad. While posted in Calgary, AB in 1949, he married Lorna Clara Gardener, who he remained with until his death on 29 August 2016. They started their family in 1950 with the birth of Victor followed by Dan (1952), David (1953), Kathrine (1955), Donald (1957) and James (1965).

After his retirement from the CAF in 1971, Ted moved from Petawawa, ON to Campbell River, BC. While in Campbell River/Sayward, he worked at various jobs from sheriff to prison guard. I believe his favourite place on the island was Sayward. There he was known for his great barbecues and parties. He never hesitated to help whether with advice, financial assistance or a friendly ear. Unfortunately, his later years were marred with physical and mental ailments.

Ted requested that he have a simple cremation. Instead of a funeral, he wanted an Irish wake. He was survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

We would like to thank the nurses who cared for him in his final days.
