Donald Shaver
April 10, 1936 - February 9, 2010
Passed away on February 9, 2010, at the Campbell River Hospital with loving family by his side. He is predeceased by his parents Robert and Rhoda, his first wife, Patricia,
and his brothers Art and Larry. He is survived by his wife, Helen, son Rob (Joanne), daughter Lynn (Antony), brothers Pete (Lil) and Tom, grandchildren Adam, Ryan, Lauren and Tyler as well as stepdaughters Coreen (Darrell) and Brenda (Bob).
Don was born in Hamilton, Ontario and served in the Armed Forces for 25 years. He also enjoyed his work as a taxi driver in Toronto. He later lived in Wasaga Beach, Ontario with his wife, Patricia. Don loved to travel and spent a lot of time in Yuma, Arizona where he leaves many friends. He came out to B.C. six years ago to be with Helen (whom he met in Yuma). He enjoyed spending time with his loving family and friends in Ontario as well as those in B.C. Don brought a lot of joy and laughter to those around him and will be dearly missed by us all.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at Sutton's Funeral Chappel, 502 S. Dogwood on Saturday, February 13th at 1 p.m.
