Passed away peacefully at home, looking to the ocean he loved, surrounded by family and his faithful dog Archie by his side.
Survived by Eleanor his wife of 41 years, mother Mary and brother Mark. Pre deceased by father Dayton and niece Paloma.
Father to Rob (Amy Girard), Amy (Alan Dickinson), Cindy (Chris McCooeye), Andrew Summers (Andrea Akelaitis), and Mike Hamilton. Proud “Grandonny” to Nicholas, Travis, Josiah, Nathanael, Bethanie, Eden, Gabriel, Kaleb, and Nigel.
Born and raised in Campbell River, Don’s life was on the water. Commercial fishing from the age of 9.
