Derek passed away suddenly at home on Monday, August 18, 2008. He was predeceased by his father Jack Ball Sr. He will be dearly missed by his family; mother Janet Ball; Karen Cole and daughters Marina and Cassandra Ball; brother Jack Ball (Linda); niece Katrina Ball; nephew Aaron Ball (Ashley) and children Talia, Jairus, Josiah and Eva Ball; as well as many loved aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
Derek's passions in his life were coaching and playing fast ball, cruising in his famed car "The Outcast" and chillin at home in front of the tube. All to be replaced by his most important role as an awesome Dad to his two girls. A Gathering of Family and friends in Celebration Life will take place on Saturday, August 30th, 2008 at 11:00a.m. from the COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 1101 RYAN ROAD with a reception in the Garden Room and Outdoor Patio of the funeral home to follow. Should friends wish, donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
