Was born July 15th, 1941 in Nipawin, Saskatchewan, passed away suddenly May 30th, 2005, Tahsis, B.C.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Merese, and was predeceased by his father Archibald and mother Marie, brothers Elmer, Irvine, George and Roger. Dennis is survived by his children Cindy (Heinz) Lauer of Campbell River, Rick (Wendy) Lucas, of Ladysmith, Debbie (Terry) Chomeczko, of Gold River, Sherry (Erv) Lucas of Tahsis, grandchildren Justin, Connie, Patrick, Laura, Natasha, Steven, Jaime and Calvin also survived by brothers Jim (Josephine) Lucas of Deep Bay, Charles (Inge) Lucas of Maple Ridge, sisters Helen (Joe) Richter of Merritt, Lois Gahan, of Vancouver, Margie (Ron) Erickson, of Duncan.
Dennis worked in the Tahsis sawmill from 1958 until his retirement. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, he also loved gardening. Denny always loved to tell a good joke and was very sociable. He made many dear friends over the years. He could always be found on the local rivers or out in the boat fishing.
A celebration of Dennis’s life will take place on Sunday, June 5th, 2005, at 1 p.m. from the chapel at Elk Falls Memorial Crematorium, 6400 Gold River Highway, (top of General Hill), Campbell River.
In Lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Campbell River and District Branch, Box 896, Campbell River, B.C. V9W 6Y4, would be appreciated.
