Our beloved Chickie passed away suddenly on Saturday June 14, 2008 with her loving family at her side. She enjoyed her life alongside her husband Alan, daughters Lindsay (Rob), Loni, and Kimberly. Her 4 grandchildren Jake, Kylie, Garrett, and Brandon. Her mother Kathleen, brothers Gaye, Randy (Melody), Richie (Barb), nieces and nephews and all her extended family. Chickie was predeceased by her dad Hank in 2001. She was born in Brandon Manitoba and raised in Oyster Bay where she spent her days beachcombing. Chickie loved her family easter campouts, oceanside gardening, her beloved Vancouver Canucks and Toronto Blue Jays. She spent many weekends traveling for horse shows, and volleyball tournaments. She loved her trips to Arizona with her ball team or weekend getaways on the back of the Harley.
Deanna devoted a big part of her life to Job’s Daughters and Altrusa. She joined her mom Kathy in 1975 and together with Randy successfully ran Enns Insurance until December 2005. Chickie filled her retirement days surrounded by the laughter of her children, grandchildren, conversations and coffee with friends on the deck, and of course music. Chickie will be happily remembered by all who knew her. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Heart & Stroke foundation would be appreciated.
