LOUCKS - David Elvin passed away peacefully in Nanaimo Hospital on April 01,2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born April 19, 1936 in Melita, Manitoba. Predeceased by his parents and infant sister. Missed by his loving wife Sharon, brother Morley Loucks, daughters: Michele Loucks (Jack), Krista Aurala (Erik), and son Troy, grandchildren: Lacie Zchanoviz, Samantha and Joshua Barton, many nieces and nephews. Also, by his cat Bongo and special friends Ken and Heather Cross, and Jack and Velma Crawford. David was a very proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 45 years. He also liked to walk around town and meet his buddies for coffee. He worked at the old Chemainus Sawmill and then as a Commissionaire until his retirement. A Memorial Tea was held at the Ladysmith Eagle's on Monday April 07, 2008.
