Darren Wood
December 27, 1973 - October 1, 2017
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Darren Robert Wood "Woody" on October 1st, 2017.
Darren was born on December 27th, 1973 in New Westminster and grew up on the ocean, rivers and mountains that surround Campbell River. Darren was a strong worker, working on fish farms (Marine Harvest, Omega, Nor-am) until a biking accident in 2004 left him injured. Darren lived a challenging life but always made sure to take care of those around him as best he could, especially his boys.
Darren is survived by his wife, Tanya, sons, Brandon and Jordan, his sister Tara, mother, Marit Stephens, stepfather Bob Stephens, father Robert Wood, stepmother Marie Wood, his grandma Mabel Wike along with many uncles, aunts and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Eagles Hall, located at 1999 14th Avenue on Saturday, October 21st between 1 and 4pm.
Please join us to celebrate the life of Darren where we can share stories and be together.
Light snacks, coffee and tea will be available as well as a cash bar.
Everyone is welcome.
