Daniel Walter Lubovicki
“Danny Boy”
October 22, 1938 – March 5, 2009
It is with much regret that we announce the passing of Daniel Walter Lubovicki at the Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria. BC.
Danny was pre-deceased by his Father Steven Lubovicki, Mother Olga Bobowski, Step-Father Stanley Bobowski, Brother Bodhan Lubovicki and Daughter Annette Lubovicki.
Left to mourn his passing is his Wife Mary Lubovicki and Daughters Shannon Farwell (Troy), Rhonda Wykes (Mike) and Monica Morey. He is also survived by six Grand-kids Anna, Sheena, Ashley, Dylan, Melyssa and Brandon and Sister Grace Fritzke, many nieces, nephews and his Couch Potato Friend Monty.
Danny was born in Goodeve, Saskatchewan and attended school in Goodeve. Danny moved to Campbell River in 1972 to work for John MacDougall at Woodworkers. He also worked for Beaver Lumber and as Manager of Cloverdale Paint until his retirement in 2004.
He loved sports and when younger excelled at Curling, Bowling and Old-Timers Hockey. In recent years he found Golf, enjoyed working in the back yard and watching sports on TV especially Hockey.
A Private Family Service will be held at Sutton’s.
A Reception to honour Dan’s Memory will be held at the Coast Discovery Inn on Thursday March 12th 2009 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Everyone is very welcome to attend and share their memories of “Danny Boy”.
