In Prince Rupert she worked at the Royal Fish Cannery, was a member of the Women’s Moose Club and the Women’s Bowling League. Her family moved to Vancouver Island. In Sayward, she worked and taught yoga and water aerobic classes at the Recreation Center, she was also a member of the Sayward Council. Campbell River, she started child care in her home which she truly enjoyed, and inspired her to open a daycare in Nanaimo, called Carol’s Corner.
