Borden (Jim) MacTavish passed away on October 17, 2006 in the Campbell River and District Hospital.

Jim was a long time resident of Campbell River, arriving in 1949. He worked as a faller at Camp 5 and eventually established a blacksmith and welding shop in town. He enjoyed his trade and continued blacksmithing until shortly before his death.

We knew him as a hardworking, courageous and generous man. He was our “rock” and we will miss him greatly. His Family

We are very grateful to Dr. MacNeil, Dr. Jacobs and the many wonderful nurses who cared for him in the hospital.
