age 81 years, passed away peacefully at Aranglen Gardens, Qualicum Beach on September 29, 2002. She was predeceased by her husband Ed, son Dale, parents Belle and Bud Baker, sister Bobbe Jenkins and son-in-law Bruce Williams. Bernice will be greatly missed by her daughter Linda Williams, Quadra Island, grandsons: Michael (Michelle) Williams, Vancouver, Drew (Julia) Williams, Quadra Island, granddaughter Jlie Ogilvie, Campbell River, great granddaughters Alison and Megan Ogilvie, brother-in-law Jim (Nell) Jenkins of Wales and dear friend Art Dady. Bernice, the granddaughter of Vancouver Island pioneers, was born in Northfield, B.C. She had fond memories of her childhood in Logging Camp III and maintained life-long friendships from this period of her life. At age 13, she moved to Ladysmith and later married Ed in 1940. During the time she lived in Ladysmith, she was involved in community services and was Past Worthy Matron of Sharon Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. In 1956, the family moved to Oyster River and in 1964 to Campbell River. Bernice will be remembered for her sense of humour and her love of family and friends. A celebration of Bernice's life will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2002, at 1:30 p.m., at 3818 Mitlenatch Drive, Campbell River, for family and friends.
