Passed away peacefully in his home, with his wife and partner of 25 years, Ruth S. Beaulieu (nee Roberson, maiden name Adie) at his side.

Ben was born in 1936 in Trail, BC, and came to Vancouver at the age of six. He moved to Cortes Island in 1953, and married Shirley Guthrie in 1955, divorced in 1982. Ben met Ruth Robertson in 1982, they lived together for 20 years, and were married in 2002.

Ben is survived by his wife Ruth; sister Mildred Martin of Kitimat; Aunt Etta Beaulieu of Williams Lake; ex-wife and mother of their five children, Shirley Beaulieu; daughter Cindy Beaulieu of Cortes; daughers Iona Wheatley (Stewart), Donna Beaulieu and Annette Roberton, and son Dean Beaulieu (Melissa), all of Campbell River; step daughters Vi Greene of California and Janice Caverly of Campbell River; step sons Rob Robertson of Cawston, Kevin Robertson (Jenny) and Jamie Robertson (Tracey) of Campbell River. Ben is survived by eight grandchildren, one great grandchild, nine step-grandchildren, and four great step-grandchildren.

A Celebration and Remembrance of Ben's life will be held at 1:30 PM, Saturday June 16th in Mansons Hall on Cortes Island.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cortes Community Health Association.
