Annie “Nancy" Glasgow
1928 – 2009
Annie “Nancy” Glasgow was born in South Shields, England, UK on July 28th 1928 and passed away peacefully on October 18th 2009 at the New Horizons Health Care Facility at the age of 81 years. Nancy was pre-deceased by her Brother Jimmy Moss and her Husband Donald Glasgow.
Nancy will be forever loved and missed by her children Pauline Melanson and Dianne Glasgow and her beloved grandchildren Ryan & Jeremy with whom she had a special bond.
Nancy will also be missed by Donna and Frederic, Caroline and Natasha in Montreal, Jimmy Jr., Tommy and their families in England.
Nancy worked in the Land Army in England during World War II and immigrated to Canada in 1951. Nancy loved gardening and her cats, especially her companion “Buddy”. Nancy also enjoyed painting and was a gifted seamstress who enjoyed sewing outfits and costumes for her children and grand-children.
Nancy always carried herself with humour and dignity and a tad of eccentricity. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
