Anne Rosenke

November 12, 2002

Sept. 5, 1927 to Nov. 12, 2002

After a courageous battle with cancer, Mom passed away peacefully at home. With great sadness we hand her into the arms of our Lord.

She was born Anna Raspier, Sept. 5, 1927 in Kovachica Yugoslavia. Her family moved to Walburg Saskatchewan in 1929. The family grew with time and after finishing school and teaching college she was posted in her first teaching job in Morin Creek. She taught in different areas and at her posting near Loor Lake she met Wilfred Rosenke. They were made for each other and married in 1951. The young couple moved that year to Ocean Falls BC where Wilf worked for Crown Zellerback and they started their family. In 1965, the family was transferred to Campbell River. After all the children has started school Anne did some substitute teaching at the local shcools and was active in their church h. Campbell River was home and she enjoyed her life here.

Anne’s greatest joy was her family and she delighted in her grandchildren. Her greatest strength was her faith.

She was predeceased by her living husband Wilf in Sept. 2002, by her older sister Eva in the 1980’s, her father in 1978 and her mother in 1968.

She will be greatly missed by her children, David (Marilyn) Beverley (Allen Thompson) Robert (Janet) and Darlene (Wes Cooper), her grandchildren, Steven, Darren, Mitchell, Matthew, Kyle, Laura, Jeffery, Andrea, Doug, Daryl and David. Her brothers John (Helen) Joe (Julie), her sister Kay Raspier and her many nieces and nephews.

Service for Anne will be held at the Baptist Church, Dogwood Street on Friday, November 15th, 2002 at 1:00pm

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
