Anna Jane Thomas would like to let you know that her work here is done. She began her work here on January 2, 1942 and received a call on March 24, 2017 for another appointment from which she will not be returning.

Her new appointment consists of reunions with her husband George, parents Tom and May Smith (nee Scow), siblings Laura, Alec, Bert and Lorne, and family and friends that she has not seen in a long time. This new position requires, dancing, gardening, reading, socializing, food and plenty of wine. Laughter and love are most certainly guaranteed.

Mom’s Book Bin was not only Anna’s business but it was her social life. She left instructions that her daughters, Sherry and Gina are to continue socializing and selling books.

Anna’s granddaughter, Alexandra is her absolute joy. Anna’s instructions are for her to continue to be the most amazing young woman that she is and to follow her dreams.

Anna has much love (most of the time) for her siblings, Jessie Laine, John Smith, Emily Aitken and Thomas Smith and all of her many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Anna’s wish is that you spend time and read to your children, walk or sit on the beach and make a toast to enduring friendships lifelong and beyond.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Campbell River Community Centre, 401 11th Avenue, Campbell River, BC. on Saturday, April 1, 2017, beginning at 1 pm.
