An amazing person, Ann Mahner, lost her fight with cancer on February 23, 2017. Born in Big Beaver, SK, the youngest of 15 children, Ann moved to Campbell River in 1966 where she worked as Security at K-Mart for many years and made many long-lasting friendships. Never one to sit still for long, she was involved in and loved many activities including fishing, camping, gardening and crafts of all kinds that she generously shared with everyone. Her greatest love was her favourite and only grandson Bobby with whom she shared a very special bond with to the end. She is greatly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Special thanks to the wonderful nurses on the floor and the Cancer Care Clinic at the CR Hospital for their excellent care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society in Ann’s memory would be appreciated.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
