Alicia was born in Winnipeg in 1922. Alicia graduated as a registered nurse from St. Boniface Hospital in 1942. She nursed in Vancouver’s St. Vincent Hospital for 3 years. She joined Trans-Canada Airlines (Air Canada) as a stewardess in 1945. In 1948 she married her soul mate, Steve Koroby in Winnipeg. The following year they moved to Vancouver and started a family. She devoted herself to her family, volunteered in various church organizations and enjoyed travelling, needlework and sketching portraits. From 1960-70 she was employed by the Victorian Order of Nurses and CP Air respectively. In 1998 they moved to Campbell River and in 2008 celebrated 60 years of marital bliss. We will miss her terribly.

Service was held March 3, 2009 at 11:00 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Fr. Vince Borre presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
