1919- 2006
Sandra passed away during the early morning hours of June 25, 2006.
Born in Borden, Saskatchewan she moved to Vancouver in her teens and spent all but the past 26 years between surrey and the Nimpkish Valley; since 1985 she had resided in Wynndel, BC.
Predeceased by her first husband Bill in 1955 and second husband Thomas in 1990 as well as her son-in-law Brian Taylor of Campbell River, BC in 2004. Also, her sister Mary of Langley, BC and brother Pete of Paradise, California.
Survived by her daughter Valerie, grand-daughter Stacy, grandson Mark and great-grandson Bryan, all of Campbell River, BC. Also brother Nick Matiko of Creston, BC; sister Nina (Horace) Hinton of Creston, BC; sister Anne (John Harvey) Whitley of Auburn, Washington; brother Ed (Lillian) Matiko of Millet, Alberta; brother Lawrence Matiko of Edmonton, Alberta and sister Ruby (Ken) Babcock of Turner Valley, Alberta as well as many nieces, nephews and great-nephews.
Sandra was a life time member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church and her Memorial Service will be held in the Creston Church on July 09, 2006 at 2p.m.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the Breast Cancer Foundation, the Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
