If so, maybe the first step in this process could be learning something new.

ElderCollege at North Island College in Campbell River offers you many opportunities to do just that. Starting in January there will be a variety of courses and workshops offered to suit almost anyone.  Come to the information meeting at North Island College on Friday at 1 p.m. to find out more about the courses and meet the instructors. Some course available include:

Do you want to learn how to use a computer or develop more confidence in your current skills? Computers for beginners is an introduction to the basics of computer operation. Will you be traveling in 2013? Maybe you should learn some new phrases or brush up on your skills.  Italian for Senior Travelers will provide you with conversation basics.  An intermediate course in Spanish – Beyond the Basics will be of interest to those who have a basic knowledge of Spanish and would like to expand their repertoire. Exercise your mind and engage with others in a lively discussion of current news stories of interest.  Enroll in Current Events Discussion Group and gain more insight into what’s happening in the news around the world both locally and internationally.

To enroll in classes or workshops you must first become a member of ElderCollege. The membership fee of $10 is paid once per academic year and is open to any person over 50 years of age. Fees for courses range from $15 to $30. Visit www.nic.ba.ca/eldercollege for more.
