An advocate for the homeless, seniors and the poor let his frustration boil over today and refused to leave the joint Campbell River office of North Island MLA Claire Trevena and North Island-Powell River MP Rachel Blaney this afternoon.

Although, outwardly calm during his occupation, Ross Bell was also angry over his own situation and refused to leave the office unless the RCMP came and removed him. By the time the RCMP had arrived just after 3 p.m., however, he had cooled down, felt he had made his point and was willing to leave peacefully.

As part of his occupation he challenged Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to a wrestling match and if Bell, a senior, defeated him, Trudeau had to implement immediate measures to help the homeless and seniors living in poverty.
