A 10th successful Discover Passage Passage

The 10th annual Discovery Passage Passage took place on Aug. 13.

Around 60 self-propelled crafts made their way across Discovery Passage on the afternoon of Aug. 13.

The group of around 60 non-motorized boats made their way across Discovery Passage to Cape Mudge on on Aug. 13.

People paddle boarded, canoed and kayaked. There were two dragon boats and a few row boats. The coast guard was present ensuring safe passage for all.

This year was the 10th anniversary of the Discover Passage Passage. The event is done to recreate and recall how the first people migrated along this coast.

Everyone returned at around 3:30 after being greeted by the We Wai Kai off the shore of Cape Mudge.
