Campbell River Mirror Editor Alistair Taylor is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Davies to the position of Reporter.

Davies is a recent graduate of the Thompson Rivers University (TRU) journalism degree program in Kamloops, B.C., having already held a bachelor’s degree in English rhetoric and professional writing.

He joins the Mirror after spending the past three years as editor-in-chief of The Omega newspaper, which covers the TRU community and its place in the greater Kamloops community.

Davies is no stranger to Campbell River, having been a member of the first Timberline graduating class.

He loves golf, football, and playing superheroes and Lego with his son, Sven. He likes it best when he gets to be Ironman, but it’s rarely up to him.

He’s extremely excited to be returning to Campbell River, which at one time he called home, to learn more about what makes the community tick.
