The Campbell River Storm will have a new bench boss for their next game vs the Peninsula Panthers this Friday in Victoria.

The Storm have parted ways with head coach Rob Voltera as well as assistant coach, Dave Wing and goalie coach, Tyson Hicks. Taking over the helm and steering the team in a new direction will be former assistant coach Ryan Toporowski, a member of the Storm alumni and a previous assistant coach with the Saanich Braves.

Toporowski is also the Head Instructor of the Storm Hockey Academy in conjunction with SD72.

The 3-6-1 (W-L-OTL) Storm have seven points and are in last place in the northern division of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League.

The Campbell River Storm ownership thanked Voltera, Wing and Hicks for their service to this club and community and wished them continued success.
