POLICE BEAT: Pawn shop info leads to arrest
A tip from a local pawn shop led to the arrest of a 26-year-old break and enter suspect.
The B&E took place at a residence on Stratford Drive and was discovered Saturday morning.
According to RCMP, the thief got away with several items including electronics and photography equipment.
As part of their investigation, police went looking for the missing items at local pawn shops where they obtained information that led to the arrest.
Charges are pending and the man's name has not been released.
Two flee truck crash
Police were called to a single vehicle accident on Saturday at 2:50 a.m.
The accident occurred in the 1400 block of Galerno Rd., when a 1998 GMC pickup crashed into a hedge.
Two males were seen running on foot and that led to an arrest of a 17-year-old at a nearby residence.
No one was hurt in the accident and a charge of failing to remain at the scene is being recommended to Crown counsel.
