Teens arrested on suspicion of theft

Three teenagers suspected of breaking into a vehicle were taken into custody early Monday morning.

At 1:28 a.m., RCMP were called regarding three males stealing items from a Toyota Matrix parked near the intersection of South Thulin and Pinecrest roads.

The suspects fled when they realized they were being watched, but half an hour later, a Mountie on patrol arrested three 17-year-old boys walking along South McPhedran Road.

One of the youths reportedly was in possession of the items stolen from the Matrix.

The teens were taken into custody and later released to their parents. The investigation into the theft continues.
